Outside of Hinoya Curry Restaurant

Hinoya Curry Restaurant Review by Holly Westbrook

Curry has its origins in the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent. It consists of a complex combination of herbs and spices. Curry or karē is a favored dish in Japan and is so popular it is even sometimes called Japan’s national dish. It is usually served over rice, udon noodles, or bread. Several varieties of vegetables and meats are used to make Japanese curry.  It’s the perfect satisfying dish to enjoy all year round.

Here’s KCP’s Winter 2018 student, Holly Westbrook, on Hinoya Curry restaurant:

Hinoya Curry is the best curry I have had in Japan so far (and I eat curry a lot). I found out it was a chain restaurant, but have not see too many Hinoya Currys around. My classmate Caroline also loves this restaurant and it’s our favorite place to grab a quick lunch. It is reasonably priced and the service is great. I recommend you order the classic “Hinoya Curry with a soft-boiled egg”. Oishi!

Hinoya Curry is located right around the corner near KCP. It is about a 5 minute walk from the building. It’s address is: 新宿1-18-15, スワダビル1F, Shinjuku, 東京都 〒160-0022, Japan.
