I got to meet many interesting people at KCP.

Stephanie from 2013

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I really enjoyed the bus trip and getting to spend time outside of class interacting with my classmates.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The fact that there are so many interesting people I got to meet at KCP. There isn't really any least interesting aspect of the program, maybe make the Saturday classes before school on weekdays so students can get the most out of their weekends.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Group kaiwa

Where did you reside over the course of this program?

Dormitory

Where did you live?

Ikebukuro

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?

Internet was good, the rooms were small but very nice to live in overall. Also great location.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

Don't be afraid to explore and always do the homework! The classes are challenging but manageable if you are willing to do the work.

Testimonials

Going to class every day, and the workload, gave me a sense of what living in Japan would be like. I was able to learn Japanese daily, as well as have enough time in the day to study and explore the country.
